Back about last November, I bought your book (The Web Page Planner). The person who wanted a simple site developed, the reason I got your books, couldn't sit still long enough to provide me information. So, I developed a site for my business. And it went live today.

I am so proud of myself I can hardly see straight. Much of the confidence I developed to even begin the process is contributed to you and your efforts.

I still need to register with search engines and I know where on your site to look for them. I also will be re-tooling the logo and some other aspects of my site, now that I've bought a graphics program!! I also will be doing some mouse overs, thumb nails, etc., but all in good time. Today is a banner day for me. Between you, and the fine folks at EvrSoft, I have a finished product.

Creating Pop - Ups

Let's face it. No one really likes pop ups. However if they are done tastefully, they can add to your newsletter subscription list, and can be an added tool for promoting your site.

We all know that hardly anyone buys on the first go round, so we should be looking for ways to bring them back. Pop ups especially work well to increase your subscriber counts for your newsletter / ezine.

Set up -

The best way to configure the pop up is to allow it to pop up only when a visitor is leaving your site - that way they aren't bombarded with popups as the visitor explores your site, you just provide a gentle reminder as they leave.

This week after some discussion on the business list we belong to, I decided to download Ad Aware to find out how many folks were spying on me. First, I never download any non business stuff from the internet, but Ad Aware found 52 folks/files that were spying on me. Not good at all. Best thing besides the fact that it is an excellent program is the cost-- nada. Took less than a minute to download and about five minutes to setup and run.
