Advanced Keywords - part 1

+++Note
If you don't have time to do a good keyword study, we can do one
for you. Check out this page for details.

The
foundation of any good SEO campaign is having the right keywords.
Target the wrong ones and you'll get traffic but no sales or no
traffic. This lesson will explain exactly how to find those keywords
which will benefit your business.
Step
1 - Homework
The
best way to start doing the following is to open your excel spread
sheet. List the main pages of your site in a row across the top
of the sheet. Below the page names start listing any words that
come to mind that folks might use to find the page. Once you've
compiled a good list put it aside and sleep on it. Come back to
it the next day review the list. List any additional keywords
that you might think of. Ask some friends or associates if they
might have any words to add to the list.
Step
2 - Research
Make
sure you have at least a full day to do the following step. We're
going to spend a little money, but it will be well worth it.
Create
an account with wordtracker.
http://www.wordtracker.com
A 1 day account is between $6 and $7.00 well worth the price of
admission.
using the top right button.
Click
on keyword universe.
Start
with the keywords for the first page.
Type
the first word in the box below step one. Above the box it says
enter your search term below. Make sure that lateral and thesaurus
are checked. Then click Proceed. You'll be presented with a long
list that includes your word and a bunch of related words. In
the list click on the word you typed in and you'll be presented
with a list in the right hand box.
We
aren't too worried in any of the columns on the right except for
the predict column. That is a prediction of how many searches
per day there would be in a day. Click on any relevant term with
a prediction above 10. You may use more of the keywords that are
in your spreadsheet, if you do then cross that one off the list.
Once you have went through the list on the right. Check the list
on the left and click on any relevant terms for the page you're
working on. Again work through the list on the left, and continue
until you're finished. Were all the keywords you thought of included,
if not then type the remaining keywords in the left hand side
and follow the steps above until you have exhausted your spreadsheet
list for the first page.
Click
the arrow that says click here for step 3.
Review
the keywords - any you think don't remotely apply delete them.
After you've deleted them, click on the competition search button.
Highlight the box for Google and click Proceed.
I
always print this page, but you can also email the results to
yourself or do both. As you print the pages make sure that you
jot down on the page which page of your site the keywords relate
to. Also make a unique email subject - i.e. page one keywords,
page two keywords etc.
Now
start working on the keywords for your second page.
First
remove any of the keywords that you've already found.
Click on home (middle of the screen near the top).
Click on the keyword universe again.
Near the bottom click on clear all - this will start a fresh set
of keywords.
Enter your keyword in the left-hand box and follow the procedure
above.
When
you're finished with that page, start on the next and continue
till you're finished. When done you'll have a nice list of prospective
keywords for each page. Next week we'll start working on the nitty
gritty of choosing the keywords from our lists.

Harness The Power of Audio and Boost Your Website Sales!
By Rick Adams
+++++++++++++++++
The
written word can be amazing.
It
can take you places you've never been before. But what happens
when the written word becomes the spoken word?
~ Your senses are aroused.
~ Your nerves are calmed by hearing a soothing voice.
~ Your heart races because you are hearing the anxiety.
~ Instant credibility is obtained.
~ The words jump off the page.
The
power of the human voice enriches the written description of whatever
is presented. It connects in ways that written text can't. Even
at a young age, our audio skills were sharper than our visual
skills. Our ability to learn came via our auditory senses.
So
how does the power of audio relate to Internet marketing? You
need an edge. Something to differentiate yourself from your competition.
The vast majority of websites are visually oriented. What's missing
is the verbal description of what's on the website.
A
recent case study by Michael Green of www.HowToCorp.com was performed
where visitors were split evenly across two pages. Both pages
were the same except one had audio and the other didn't. The case
study was performed over a 2 week period. The results were amazing.
The page with audio produced 314% more sales than the page without
audio. In total, 87 product sales were made. 66 from the page
with audio and 21 from the page without audio. This was a very
simple test but proves the point that having audio on your website
does boost your sales.
Here
are 7 key uses of audio on your website.
1)
Website Welcome - Start off by introducing yourself, welcoming
the visitor, and highlighting your product or service.
2)
Download page - Place verbal instructions on your download page.
3) Subscription Page - On your ezine sign up page, highlight the
benefits of subscribing to your ezine.
4)
Audio Testimonials - Everyone wants testimonials from their buyers.
Have your buyers give you an audio testimonial and let them describe
the benefits they received in their own words. More credibility
for you and your product or service.
5) Guarantee Statement - Augment the written guarantee with your
verbal commitment.
6) Product Description - Use an audio clip to describe your product,
giving the potential buyer additional information they would normally
not receive in the written text.
7)
Thank You Page - Use an audio clip on your thank you page to reinforce
the buyers decision. Two important benefits of audio are ... ~
keeps your visitors on your site longer giving you more time to
make the sale. ~ establishing instant credibility by letting your
visitors hear your voice.
Ask
your buyers to leave audio testimonials and build even more credibility.
The power of audio ... use it to give yourself the advantage.
